Eduardo Terrazas will be participating in the 60th edition of The International Art Exhibition, organised by La Biennale di Venezia and curated by Adriano Pedrosa.

Titled “Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere,” the exhibition will take place in the Central Pavilion (Giardini) and in the Arsenale, and it will be divided into two parts: “Nucleo Contemporaneo” and “Nucleo Storico,” for contemporary and historical work, respectively.

Terrazas combines modernist geometric abstraction with Mexican folk techniques resulting in a unique language that navigates both contemporary art and craft traditions. Echoing the Biennale’s main curatorial theme, “Foreigners Everywhere,” the artist’s ontological practice is deeply influenced by his travels abroad and synthesises visual elements from global cultures with geometric abstraction and Latin American tradition.

The project will be on view from 20 April to 24 November 2024.
