Timothy Taylor Names Chloe Waddington a Gallery Partner, 25 March 2021, New York, USA
Timothy Taylor is pleased to announce that Chloe Waddington is now a partner in the gallery. Waddington joined Timothy Taylor in 2019 to oversee the New York gallery, where she has made a significant impact over the past year and a half. She will continue to work closely with the gallery’s expanding roster of artists and estates, in collaboration with founder Timothy Taylor and senior colleagues in London.
Under Waddington’s leadership, artists Chris Martin and Honor Titus joined the gallery, and Los Angeles-based artist Hilary Pecis will present her first solo U.K. exhibition at the London gallery this spring. In April, the New York gallery will open a 3,500-square-foot temporary space at 518 West 19th Street, NY, across the street from Timothy Taylor’s Chelsea townhouse, to present Reconfigured, an exhibition of ten early-career artists from the United Kingdom.
“I am delighted to have Chloe as a partner—the first in the gallery’s three-decade history. It is a tribute to Chloe’s talents, vision, and warmth that she has attracted new artists to the gallery, developed key relationships with curators and collectors alike, and helped to expand our exhibition program, online and off, despite the unexpected challenges of the past year. I am excited to embark on a long and successful partnership together.” – Timothy Taylor
Waddington joined Timothy Taylor from David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles, where she was the Managing Director, responsible for overseeing the gallery’s staff, programming, and growth strategy, including the physical expansion of the gallery space. Prior to that, she held roles at Christie’s and Phillips, New York. Waddington received her MA in Art Business from the Sotheby’s Institute, London and her BSFS in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University.
