The CAN (Center d'Art Neuchâtel)'s first exhibition with Armenian artist Armen Eloyan will run between 5 September and 18 October 2020. Eloyan has historically portrayed dystopian narratives tinged with dark humor, often animated with anthropomorphic figures. On the occasion of his first exhibition in French-speaking Switzerland, which took shape overnight this summer at CAN, the artist decided to make a decisive turning point towards abstraction that marked a clear break with his previous works. 'They don’t talk anymore,' Eloyan says. The protagonists have disappeared, leaving pigment and turpentine splashed across five large canvases that make up the exhibition.
